"Having been running ultras for less than a year, when it came time to prepare for my first hundred miler, I wanted to make sure I had as many details buttoned up in advance of race-day as possible. The race I was running was an out-and-back course, with two aid stations where drop bags could be accessed. Rain was also a possibility given the late summer/early fall timing of the race. That meant that I needed two durable, spacious bags that I could easily locate in the pile of other runner’s bags. After some research, I came across High Desert Drop Bags. The simple and pragmatic design was just what I had been looking for. With a wide zippered side for easy access, an exterior handle for quick grabbing, a side panel for readily identifying your bib number and specific aid station, and light but durable water-resistant fabric, these bags were the prefect solution. Plus, they came in various sizes and colors, to meet each runner’s needs. I selected the Dirt Bag, and it was the ideal size for a change of warm clothes, extra headlamp and batteries, nutrition for two sections of the course, solid food for the aid station, poles and could have accommodated even more items. At the end of the race, my bags were dry and the items left inside were clean and intact.

"I love my High Desert Drop bags!!!! I love the durability of the material and even in damp conditions will keep the contents dry. Three of my last five 100 milers have seen some significant rainfall and I've never had a problem with my stuff getting wet. I honestly take them wherever I go. I typically will have at least one in my car to throw my muddy shoes into, one in my gym back to put my sweaty clothes into and not a single race happens that I don't have one at an aid station. My crew or aid station volunteers are able to easily identify my bag and easily access the contents. Plus I love that the bags are made right here at home!!!!"

Nov, 2013:  "Since I don’t use a crew these bags were invaluable. In one I had a change of insoles, extra socks, full night gear (it gets cold on that course in September), a large zip lock full of gels and snacks, and other essentials…and that was in the Dirt Bag. One of the great uses of this bag was being able to clean my feet off and put my fresh toes on a clean drop bag instead of the dirt or asphalt. At Brighton aid station I had a set of trekking poles, extra shoes, more socks, and snacks. I maybe had the bag half full. Since I had a fantastic pacer through both of these sections he can attest to how much easier it was to find my bags because they  stood out from all the others...After the race it was easy to locate them at the finish line, pull my stuff out, tear my race tape off, and store them for my next outing. I can tell you now these are the best drop bag options on the market"
